I pitched, I prepared, I traveled, and I presented. My first CFUnited session was presented in what I would consider a successful manner. There were about 2 dozen people there to hear me present on jQuery & AIR. I covered creating a new Aptana AIR project, designing the interface in Adobe Fireworks, coding up the CSS, HTML, and jQuery in Aptana, and finally the ColdFusion component in CFEclipse. Most of the attendees also stuck around to discuss packaging and exporting of AIR apps.

I didn't get a chance to post my blog, or the zip file containing the code samples, but here it is. Thanks to everyone who came out, it's appreciated. Hope it was useful to you.

Salutations from Québec Andy, I just downloaded your BlogMonitor project and took a look at it. I would love to take a look at your presentation. Is there a video available somewhere? I did a search of CFUnited on YouTube but no luck. Same on Google, "BlogMonitor CFUnited" just game me this page. I want to do a starter project of mine with Air using jQuery and the jqGrid plugin and I'm not sure how to go about it. jqGrid seems to want a server script (PHP, ASP, what have you) and me wanting to use the sqlite stuff Air offers. I'm sure you understand I am a total newcomer to Air. I did follow your post on jQuery and Air. In fact, that made me install Aptana again (had it once but since I am a gvim guy, Aptana went away, being a big machine...). Thank you, Louis

Louis...you're in luck. There was a problem with the audio during my actual presentation and so I'll be re-recording it this weekend.
