Do you live in, or around, Manhattan and are interested in learning more about desktop and mobile application development? Then you're in luck. I'll be speaking to the New York ColdFusion User Group (NYCFUG) on June 8th at 6:30 at the New York Medical Center. I'll walk you through the steps to write applications that can be deployed to the web, desktop, and mobile devices from a single codebase. Learn the basics of jQuery, AIR, and Phonegap. Use existing skills in jQuery, HTML/JS/CSS, AIR, and ColdFusion, to compile applications that can truly be used anywhere.

Update

I've gotten the chat room details now so those of you that want to watch remotely are welcome to drop in. Here's some info you'll need:

Please note that the meeting takes place in New York City at 6:30 EST time. Adjust your clocks accordingly.

I'll post the final meeting URL for posterity after it's all been recorded.

I sure hope to see you there.

Update 2

Sadly I flaked out and forgot to hit record just before beginning my presentation so I do not have the presentation video for you to watch. I do however have the final presentation slidedeck and code samples available for download now.

Andy, that's an excellent speaking topic. Could you let those of us outside of the NYC area know if it's going to be webcast?

Thanks Tom, and absolutely. I'll check with NYCFUG and as soon as I find out, I'll update the post and comment so that you get notified.

Do you need to register and if so where do i do that?

Alan Macleod - June 03, 2010 06:22 am

Alan...

If you're in the city, there's no registration needed to attend in person. If you're asking about attending an online presentation I don't think there will be a registration either.

It looks like the NYCFUG has an Acrobat Connect account and we'll get that set up the day of. I'll post a link to the room here as soon as I've got it.

Steven. You're good to login with just your name. I've just got the room closed for now.
